Available today is this used, original pair of Corvette Valve covers, correct for most Corvettes built with what we call the staggered bolt pattern; the attachment screws do not form a rectangle. The two attachment screws are a shorter distance apart above the word Corvette, about 8-7/8 inches apart. The fasteners below the word Corvette are 10 inches apart. Many Corvettes built during the 1958 product run used these valve covers, but not all. Early 1958 Corvettes that had finned aluminum valve covers had the word “Corvette” in what we call “Low Script” (1/32 inches tall letters) These had the Corvette script that measured 1/8 inches tall, (What we call High Script) and these were used in early1959, until the time where the Second Design Cylinder Heads came into production. (those used valve covers where the four attachment screws formed a rectangle) These are correct, original valve covers that came on a factory assembled Corvette from early 1958 until about mid May of 1959.
