The metropolitan Phoenix population has at least doubled since this atlas was published. Thus, this is a glimpse back in time, when the Northeast section of the metro area still had many horse ranches and open space. Each page is either a plastic flexible board on the right and a paper map of the exact covered area, on the left. A grid, corresponding to the pages is on the fly leaf and an acreage overlay is provided in an envelope. The condition of the atlas is Very Good Plus, with a couple small tears on a couple plat maps. The area covered is approximately north of McDowell Road and east of Interstate 17. One inch = 1200 feet and each page is about 7 square miles, for an approximate coverage of 847 square miles.
